So, what are Symphologic people up to nowadays: Most if not all of them were seen at the Mish Mash event part of the Renens Capitale Culturelle Festival in October 2006. Lee Maddeford is serioulsy involved in his own personnal Shewolf site. Nicolas Bonstein has created beautiful sounding tracks for the "Champion dans la Tête" exhibition at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, you can also check his MySpace area.

Ben Merlin and Guitos are incredibly busy with their band The Fabrik doing great stuff both online and on vinyl. Jean-Philippe Zwahlen mixes electronics with ancestral traditions both for filmscores and live with "Les Palabres Bleues". Bernard Amaudruz is nurturing wondeful records and sounds for Dress, Simon Gerber, François Vé, Pascal Auberson and Solam.

Alois Noldin offers a strong online presence on MySpace, YouTube, mx3 and Sellaband, under different project names, along with the creation of film sound and score for a forthcoming 3d animation film project. Roland Vouilloz being a talented actor is acting... a lot we must say, here at la Comédie de Genève for example and he is receiving awards too. Bruno Deville still travels the world making live footage with Heiner Goebbels and Eraritjaritjaka, the fantastic theater show, and works on some more film projects.

How, and you might also want to check out the project "We Came in Peace" only on mx3 for now, which we think is pretty cool too.

Now I guess that if you want to know more about any of us, you can always hit Google with a few of the names...

Incredible evening in sight at ABPI Gallery in Lausanne, hosted by Fanny & Joe on June the 25th at around 21h00. We let Joe describe this with his very own special words:

Pour cette Fête de la Saint-Jean
et l'arrivée de l'été 2005
Sept

be there... or be there

Et hop, one last show at the Kabak in Lausanne. This is going to happen on Wednesday March the 9th, at 22h00. Then we will move on to further adventurous events, stay tuned. And see you next week.

Right when you're down from the mountain, or back from snowy country somehow, bang, two shows in a row. The Kabak residency first, on January the 12th, 21h30, this time hosted by H&B Gallery with anonymous guests that we are very honoured to welcome for this special evening.

Followed, on Friday the 14th by an evening at St-Gall's EXEX:CHANGE Ouestination project in the ProjectRaum.

Symphologic at the Kabak: We said we would do it, we did. That was very exciting to see about 15 laptops, four large and one tiny video screens + live accordion, trumpettino, percussions and voices, along with 12 actors from "La Manufacture" doing an impromptu voice improvisation, great moment, thanks. You missed the show; then check the TSR1 Real Video Report of Friday the 19th 19:30 about the event.

We've also taken the opportunity to renew, on stage while playing (hey we're Symphologic), our deal for distributing DVD Season One, +10 Gain -3, on MusicAccess under reference MA-4488. Also, thanks to Mathieu Truffer and his team mates for making this evening even more special with their enthusiasm, true interest for our doings, humour and good mood.

Thanks too to Daniel Perrin, James DO, Bastien Genoux, Pixel, Spir & FuseFactory, Pierrick from MusicAccess, Fabrik, La Manufacture, and the (as yet anonymous) lady singer from the end of the show, for widening creative territories big time. Special thanks to Bruno Deville for inspiring this magnificent experience. And finally thanks to Nora and the wonderful people from the Kabak, the great venue. Cheers. We look forward to the next one, somewhere open air in the night, with a French/American sculptor on large steel plates.

Thursday November the 18th; Happy Birthday Symphologic. Guests many, VJs several: Throughout 2004 we have enjoyed the delightful feeling of sharing our many stages with artists from different horizons, cultures and backgrounds. We even got the pleasure of playing with real musicians, you know, those who make noise with their fingers, arms and legs hitting some sort of things made out of nylon, wood, metal or skin of dead animals. Well guess what, they are invited and they’ll come, not all of them though, but many and they’ll play with us. Lucky you, some of them will not make noise, but images: VJ Spir from FuseFactory, Pixel Fairy, Bastien Genoux for an event hosted by Bruno Deville. Together they’ll make the most exiting visual improvisation ever made on the north side of Lausanne city (west of the cathedral, by the castle, east of the ... pub). SPL Birthday party will be all about images; bright, clever, exciting, strange, funny, intense, moving. And you can rely on us to provide our guest VJs with a matching music track. This evening is going to be very special, be part of it. Kabak, Place du Château, Lausanne at 9PM.

Yin & Yang, soft moments, intense moments, dark moods, delightful moods, bad hums and gentle rattles, soft, stiff, fast, sluggish, nice, nasty, short & long… pieces. Come and enjoy the whole shebang of potential harmonic impressions, but leave your mind behind, we'll head straight for your senses. Furthermore, you will enjoy the show comfortably seated in the center of the Kabak, in Lausanne, Place du Château, arranged as the core of a futuristic cinema, with high quality surround sound, large screen and 20th century upholstery and furnishings. On October the 21st, at 9PM.

We are hosting an evening at the Kabak in Lausanne, every third Thursday of the month, started on August the 26th, confirmed for September the 23rd and on until December. For these events, we plan on having very special guests and of course, explore wide and different horizons. Later in the year, Sarah Oswald will be joining us with her cello for a brilliant set of electro-acoustical experiment.

Oh, yes. On the 4th of August we have been invited to play for an "impromptu" last minute in Lausanne in an art garden. Great fun, average sound, nice people. And high profile press coverage ...

July the 28th at the KABAK, in Lausanne. Tickets are 10 francs, doors at 9PM and show starts at half past, be there or be square :-). The Kabak is a very avant-garde club ruled by a very friendly team, you need to know the place and you want to to be there when we play, soundwise anything can (and will) happen. As for the ambiance and the energy, guess what: it's all up to you.

Then up the mountains, jurassic mountains, not that steep don't ya worry. There's a festival up there, Hors-Tribu Festival in Môtiers, Val-de-Travers. We will be playing on the mainstage on Sunday the 8th of August from 2 to 3 PM, bring your sunglasses and some heavy duty UV screening product.

Radio Symphologic is on-line. You can now stream, randomly, all the best music from Symphologic. Since we're free, independant and since no one has been able to buy us so far, we've chosen a free and independant streaming format, Ogg Vorbis. It mostly is a better and open source MP3 that works great on a Linux server. For it, you will need a compatible player, available both for Mac and PC. Listen and enjoy...

Right in the middle of the Mont-Repos park, west of the birds, you'll find a Castle and a Restaurant le "Folie Voltaire", most probably the best open air restaurant in the world. You can have dinner there, outside, under the trees. Then a very special show will follow. Only, in a very pure Symphologic style, we don't know yet what will happen. But it sure will happen on Friday the 25th of June right after sunset, provided the weather plays it cool too. Please, see the Flyer.

Kabak, this is a new club in Lausanne, Place du Château 3, where Symphologic is playing on Friday the 4th of June. Come and meet us there, while strange white little creatures dance in a dark box... from 9PM. Tickets are 10 francs.

Symphologic on stage at Le Cercle, Lausanne, Wednesday May the 26th, 2004. Join us for a Journey to the Center of the Earth, with Michel Wintsch on Fender Rhodes piano, Hervé Provini on drums and Cyril Moulas on bass. This is the last Open Source evening of Season One. More...

Symphologic's first DVD-Video "Season One" is out, ready and available now from selected shops and online at www.musicaccess.com. Faithful to our real time approach, the DVD reflects our shows from season one, just pure, raw live experiences as recorded, direct to stereo and DV, then slightly edited in the time domain and properly mastered for your convenience.

From May 12 to 15 2004, Symphologic is moving up north, slightly, to Bern Switzerland, for the CCC Contemporary Culture Convention. There; music, graphic design, video and movies with a contemporary edge are to be discovered and enjoyed. At any time in the «Reitschule », a light version of Symphologic, Symphologic Diet Formula, can be called on stage for an impromptu.
